So many things I CAN'T remember about my past. I just write it down as I think of them. It is not all in order but to continue from my last page.
I began to look at boys. I was 14 when I got my first boyfriend, I guess that was puppy love. I had a lot on my mind but no one found out about it till I got older. I had real boyfriends then. I used to sell Blair and Zanol products. All over Cains Creek, Abbs Creek and Cherokee, three areas near home. We had a good time visiting with all the good people.
When my younger sister was grown up, she would go with me. We used to have people come to our house almost every Sunday. A lot of young people and Mom's cousin and her family came real often.
There was a big revival in the neighborhood, me and Mom got saved and was baptized. It was a few years later my younger sister, Dad and daughter got saved and Daddy never made any more moonshine.
I worked most every fall, long enough to buy my daughter's winter clothes. I was a single Mom and I lived at home. My sister and Mom helped with my daughter a lot. I worked in Columbus and Springfield, Ohio. Before that I worked in Yellow Springs , Ohio at a printing press. In Huntington, West, Va. at a radio tube place. I worked at bakeries in two places. I worked at a dime store and drug store, cleaned houses, worked in restaurants, a meat packing place and a factory called "Omco".
I worked many places but didn't stay long at either, just enough to take care of my daughter till she was eleven years old. I married a good man and didn't have to work out of the home after that. I worked three different falls just because I wanted to at an apple orchard .
Yes, I got a good man. He took care of my daughter as if she was his. Her daddy died so he was like a REAL daddy to her. She didn't want to move to Ohio, so she stayed with my Dad and Mom, she loved them so much and they did her , too. We moved to Springfield that was where my husband worked, and had for years. We had another daughter.
My oldest daughter got married and had two sweet children a boy and a girl.
When my husband retired, we moved back to Ky. I had been sick for several years by then I had MS. My youngest daughter stayed home and took care of me. I was in the hospital several times. Then she married and her husband only lived a few years, he died at age 37 from an asthma attack. They didn't have any children. My husband died almost six years ago from bladder cancer.
I am living alone now . my younger daughter remarried. She still has no children because she had to have a hysterectomy. So you see to me, my life has not been a bed of roses but it could have been a lot worse. My grandson has been married twice, he has 4 step children, 3 step grandkids, and one son of his own. My granddaughter has been married twice, she has 4 children.
My youngest daughter, Penny and her husband were Christians, he was a clerk in the church. Her last husband is also. My oldest daughter, Raylene and her husband are Christians, he is a Deacon in the church. I am so thankful my husband got saved before he died. I am proud of my family.
